The Danny Barker Banjo and Guitar Festival kicks off with a bang on March 6th with the elegant Patron Party at The Terrell House, offering attendees an evening of live music, delectable hors d’oeuvres, and a captivating silent auction. Also taking place on March 6th, the George & Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center hosts a free all-star Banjo and Guitar Summit, inviting enthusiasts of all ages to indulge themselves in the soul-stirring sounds of these iconic instruments. 

On March 7th, the New Orleans Museum of Art becomes the epicenter of celebration, marking the festival’s 10th Anniversary with a star-studded lineup featuring Dr. Michael White, Donald Harrison, Corey Harris, and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. Meanwhile, the University of New Orleans hosts a Banjo & Guitar Clinic, offering aspiring musicians invaluable insights from seasoned professionals. 

From March 8th to 10th, the New Orleans Jazz Museum becomes a haven for music lovers, with two stages hosting 30 of the Crescent City’s finest ensembles. Audiences can expect an eclectic mix of performances, panel discussions, and interviews, curated to honor the enduring legacy of Danny Barker.
